Hello friends! Happy Thanksgiving week! My new podcast, 'Pray, Ponder, and Search' is now live and available on Podbean.

I have two episodes up.

As I stated before, I'll be going through each of my Book of Mormon recordings, cleaning up audio levels, removing clicks, pops, etc.

I'll start adding the first few Book of Mormon recordings soon, likely this week. Once I have five or six of them up, I'll start posting episodes on a regular cadence of about once a week until they're all cleaned up and republished on this new platform.

Book of Mormon Recordings - 10th Anniversary

Also, as it's been the 10th anniversary since I've finished my Book of Mormon recordings, I've decided to start re-releasing those recordings, in a near-weekly episodic podcast format coming, hopefully, soon. Just waiting on the podcast cover artwork. I'll post here when I have more info.

Friends and family, I present to you a (...drum roll...) COMPLETE personal narration of The Book of Mormon in its entirety!

I know this book is scripture, inspired by God. It is comparable to The Bible. It testifies of the need for Jesus Christ and of his divinity and reality. Jesus Christ does live!
I know if you study and live the precepts taught in The Book of Mormon, you will draw closer to God and Jesus Christ, and you will have increased peace to your life.

I'm Still Here, and Merry Christmas!

Merry (almost) Christmas! Boy, how time flies!

I'm not much of a blogger, but I do get notifications when someone comments on my blog.

Anyway, I'm currently working on finishing up the other half of the Book of Mormon sections I did for Librivox. My plan is to combine them with my old recording and present them as a gift for my children for Christmas in a few short days.

What a fantastic book! I know it's a divine book of scripture. It, like the Bible, testifies of the reality of Jesus as the Savior and Redeemer of the world. God bless you all. And again, Merry Christmas!

In the foxhole, I knelt head bowed
And said a departing prayer
The pall of death's encroaching shroud
The fetid cuticle

Amongst the dirt, grime, mould
My brow uncontroll`ed twitched
Accurs`ed ferret biting cold
Finger snitched

Truth be told Jarbean J. Garlthon is actually an alias (like you couldn't figure that out), a blending of various names from our family:

Gar -Garin
l - alicia
thon - jonathon

He came about due to some run-on poems and stories we were doing late at night at a family reunion some years back. We had such a blast we created a fictional persona for him.

This particular poem was created by Sean, Alicia, Jared, Garin, Isaac, and honorary member Jerry Naylor at the recent 2007 eLearning DevCon in SLC, Utah during dinner. Good times!

A Strange Dream

I had a decidedly odd dream last night...

A small town somewhere near the Texas and Louisiana border was nuked by the Russians for some reason, causing the once-dead cold war to go hot. We got involved in a huge conventional war with the Ruskies. The draft was reinstated and pretty much everyone in relatively good health, regardless of family status, was called up. I mean they were really scraping the barrel because both my wife and I were both drafted to different military branches leaving us to wonder what were were going to do with our three children. A very interesting dream.

I was interested in how it would have turned out.
