I'm a Librivox Contributor!

Hoozah! just uploaded my first mp3 the other day to Librivox.org. I enjoy narration, so we'll see where this takes me.

Great recording. Would you consider narrating for any of the District of Wonders podcasts? Crime City Central, Tales to Terrify, Protecting Project Pulp and StarShipSofa are always looking for narrators. We can't pay, but it's fun. Think about it and maybe get in touch. Cher Eaves, Editor

Heard you on Tales to Terrify's Christmas edition. When the host Larry Santoro said the narrator of the second piece was "not *that* Jared Hess, but this one also lives in Utah," I thought, "No way! My MTC compi?!" Sure enough! Very well read, and I look forward to hearing more of your work.

My MTC compi! *sniff* Vaca Santa! Well there's a blast from the past you don't experience every day!

Didn't know you listened to Tales to Terrify. That's cool! That's my first narration for them.

Hope all is well!

I live in New Orleans. As the result of a medical condition condition, I have had to give up reading. Thanks to you, I can listen to the Book of Mormon. This is my third time through. Thank you!

It looks like you don't use this page anymore, so I hope you get this message. Thank you for taking the time to read The Book of Mormon for Ibrivox. Due a medical condition, I can no longer read. There, the best way for me to study The Book of Mormon has been to listen to you read it. Thanks.

Hi David. Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm sorry to hear you can no longer read! I'm glad you found the recording useful. Of course lds.org has professional narrators who have audio versions of the scriptures, including the Book of Mormon. But I'm sure you knew that. I know the Book of Mormon is a book of divine scripture. Keep the faith, brother, and thanks for writing!

Yes, LDS.org has their own narration, but they are a little over dramatic in my opinion. I think your recording is fantastic. Thank you!

Hi Ann. Thanks for your kind remarks! Personally, I thought *I* was a little too dramatic on some of my voices. But I like dabbling in voice-acting/dramatization.

Coincidentally, I am finishing up a recording of just me doing The Book of Mormon that I'm planning on giving to my kids and wife this Christmas. Just doing proof listening right now. Only two sections to go!

So, basically, all the other sections that others did in the libirvox recording, I've redone with just me narrating.

I might submit it to Librivox later as a new BOM solo book project. Unfortunately, they won't let me combine my old BOM recordings with my new BOM recordings though. :(

Thanks for your wonderful contributions to The Book of Mormon on Librivox. I like that your pacing and emphasis are a little different than those on lds.org. It is not so fast, and the different emphasis on words brings somehow gives me a different perspective on the contents of the scriptures. (I hope that makes sense to you.) :)
